Hi, i'm going to fit a full size rock and roll bed to my recently aquired T2 and was hoping for any advice on pros and cons of different types from different supliers etc and ease of fitting (and anything else which may stop making a complete hash of it)
cheers steve _________________ steve68 |

hi steve, in my my opinion having fitted/used both types (others may disagree!)
the brackets/hinges available from just kampers or similar are cheaper, plenty strong enough and work ok providing you get all the board measurements spot on, but they dont offer any support under the boards themselves, i.e when your laid on the bed, it does tend to bow in the middle, especially on full width (unless you use thick/18mm board) which didnt fill me with confidence!
the full frame type available from bluebird customs (and probably others now) is more expensive, but, offers a lot stronger setup due to the steel box section f***, really easy to fit (almost idiot proof ) and looks a lot better/more professional finish when fitted. all the hard work is done doing it this way, its just the case of nuts and bolts.
hope this helps!
