Hi All,

I've noticed a couple of patches of rust coming through over the past few weeks on our bay, mainly around rear wheel arches and bottom sills (surprise surprise) and a bit right on the side edge of the front panel. Is there anything I can put on/do/treat these areas with to prevent them getting any worse, and to stop the horrible disease from spreading?? Crying or Very sad

Really skint so can't afford to get them sorted out properly for a good few months yet (poss even next year Sad ) but obviously don't want to let it ruin the bus if I can help it either! Any help / suggestions much appreciated!

Cheers

craig

i typed a response to tis, but its disappeared ?????, must not have pressed the post button

it depends what you want, leave it alone and the area will be same colour but rusty,

or

grind / wire brush all the rust out and paint with hamerite or similar for a tempoary repair

i have tried al sorts of these rust inhibitors etc, but grind it out and put a good quality paint on top, hamerite, or POR 15

I wish I'd invented filler, then maybe I'd be a millionaire!

Will have to have a think of the best way forward with this Pete. I'm thinking maybe just wire wheel/clean it up for now and repaint it. Maybe look at getting it blown in properly later in the year or next year.
